30 Day Challenge: Day 19 – Distressed Mani!

I love distressed manis, and I love neons. I am fairly certain I could do manis with nothing but neon polishes for the rest of my days and I would be okay with that, hahahaha. I used Pahlish – Zang Qian’s Expedition as the base, and for the distressed bit I used Elevation Polish – Arabian Sea, Takko Lacquer – Bright Young Things, Takko Lacquer – Strangely Delicious: RVMP, and Chaos & Crocodiles – Cupcake ninja. The accent nail detail s all acrylic paint.

30 Day Challenge: Day 12 – Ruffian Mani!

Whoops, I had all these plans of waking up early and getting this one photographed so I could get my mani for tomorrow done as well, but nope. Turns out that when you stay up until 6AM, you tend to sleep until late afternoon hahahaha. Though there were multiple choices for the mani today(half moon, ruffian, or tips), I chose to do a ruffian mani because it’s the only one I hadn’t done before.  It’s different and simple, but I really like it. I love how the colors I ended up using looked together. Polishes used were Deborah Lippmann – Rockin’ Robin and Takko Lacquer – Bright Young Things.

Distressed nails and more Doctor Who nail art!

After I saw Chalkboard Nails’ new tutorial on grunge/distressed nails, I knew I had to try it out. After I pulled that one off, I was determined to get another Doctor Who mani done, and I noticed that the distressed look would be a great background for some graffiti-style art.

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Arabian Sea(base), Takko Lacquer – Bright Young Things, Elevation Polish – Pic du Gar, China Glaze – Pool Party, E.L.F. – Sea Escape, plus acrylic paints for the bad wolf graffiti, and a matte top coat on top of the graffiti.

31 Day Challenge: Day 26 – Inspired by a Pattern

Freehanding patterns = so tedious. Give me Hogwarts any day over trying to get everything perfect and even hahaha.  Overall I’m pretty pleased with these. I didn’t do a fantaaaaastic job of keeping the size of the houndstooth patterns even from nail to nail, but oh well! I like it!

Polishes used: Rescue Beauty Lounge – Aqua Lilly, white acrylic paint, Takko Lacquer – Bright Young Things(accent nail neon bit), Spoiled by Wet ‘n Wild – Did I Dye It Too Blonde?(used over the other three nails)

31 Day Challenge: Day 22 – Inspired by a Song

This one wasn’t so much inspired by a song as it was an album cover. Specifically, the cover of Steve Aoki’s album, Wonderland.
