Shark Week Nail Art!

This week is Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, and I don’t actually really care about it but any excuse to do some fun shark-themed nails is A-OK by me!

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Weddell Sea, Butter London – Slapper, Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo(these three make up the gradient), turquoise acrylic paint was used for the bubble/water/wave/whatever things, and the shark was done with acrylic paints.

Hi guys! Today I have some nail art that I did with the most recent Chaos & Crocodiles collection. I will have full, proper swatches of this whole collection this weekend, but until then I just had to share this rainbow gradient I did with most of the colors!

Polishes used(top to bottom): Security Breach, Interrogation, Subterfuge, Night Vision, Cipher (also the bottle I’m holding), Sleeper Cell, Reconnaissance, and Protocol.

Sunday Spam: Nail Art edition!

Hi guys! I’ve got a bit of a bad habit of posting some of my nail art posts on instagram and tumblr, but then forgetting to blog them! So this is a collection of various nail art manis that I have done over the past month or so(apologies if you follow me on IG and Tumblr and you’ve already seen them!)

30 Day Challenge: Day 16 – Food!

This is one of the few manis this challenge that I have had planned out since day 1, hahaha. I even made sure that I had a watermelon in the house today so I could hold a slice for the photo!  The polishes I used are Elevation Polish Torres del Paine, Cuernos del Paine, Pa’ako, Ave Secretan, and Minty Watermelon Haba for the gradient, and the accent nail is American Apparel  Hassid with acrylic paint for the watermelon slices.

30 Day Challenge: Day 10 – Gradient!

Gradients! They are my jammmmmm. I could wear them all day every day and never get bored. This gradient actually started off with the glitter topper, I looked at it and realized I owned polishes in every color of the glitter, so I decided to see if I could make it work! I think I did!  I used Elevation Polish – Grotte et Cascade, Limestone, and Alphubel for the gradient, and then topped it all with Elevation Polish – Sample LSA #24

30 Day Challenge: Day 7 – Complementary Colors!

Whoooops I am a bit late in the day with this one! I looked at my list wrong and thought today was shades of grey, so I did this AWESOME NAIL ART and then realized I did the wrong challenge day. On the bright side, my mani tomorrow is definitely amazing, and I’ll have it posted bright and early in the morning! I didn’t get my nails repainted and all that jazz before I had to work, but yay here we go, finally got it done before I lost the sunlight! I used Chaos & Crocodiles – Cupcake Ninja as the base, and then a gradient using Elevation Polish – Cuernos del Paine and Elevation Polish – I Got the Axe.

Melting Rainbow nail art!

So I had asked my friends K and Ida what I should do for some nail art today because my inspiration has run dry. They threw a bunch of suggestions at me and rainbow was the one that stuck! This is the end result: melty neon rainbows! I am so pleased with how these turned out, I only used 4 neon paints and just blended them together like crazy.

Polish used: Colors by Llarowe – Beat It, various neon acrylic paints(plus white paint for the base drips and black to outline the finished product)

Elevation Polish – Red Gradient + some more Doctor Who nail art!

Hi everyone! I recently got some new Elevation Polishes during her November 7th restock, and I just had to use one of them in this gradient. Volcanic Dust is such a pretty, vampy brick red. I love love love it! It was the perfect in-between color for this black to red gradient. I also ended up adding some more Doctor Who nail art to this one after I finished it(woo eight days until the 50th Anniversary Special!), but I never got around to taking a proper photo of it in the daylight because I dinged it right after taking the below photo and ended up having to remove the mani. Siiiiigh. I hate when that happens!

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – River Rock, Elevation Polish – Volcanic Dust, Elevation Polish – Uluru, acrylic paints for the evil snowman/snowflake.

Night Sky gradient/nail art

Hi guys! I hope you’re all having a good weekend!  Just some quick nail art for y’all today, this one was loosely inspired by Will Paint Nails For Food’s grunged up gradient/dream catcher tutorial. I went with a different scene/color scheme, but I mostly followed the tutorial for the black lines/smudges on the nail.

Polishes used: Joe Fresh – Denim, Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo, American Apparel – Office, and Elevation Polish – Tavan Bogd for the gradient. Trees/moon/stars/black bits are acrylic paint. After all of that was done I topped it with a layer of Seche Vite and then Butter London’s Matte Finish.
