30 Day Challenge: Day 21 – The Weather!

I did lightning nails for this theme, and I am super happy with how they turned out! Technically they don’t match my current weather but oh well, the sun being out worked well for me because this polish is just one of those that has the most amazing shimmer in the sunlight. I followed this tutorial for the lightning bolts, although I used acrylic paint as my sponge on colors instead of regular polish. Base polish is Colors by Llarowe – Purple Rain, everything else is acrylic paint.

Melting Rainbow nail art!

So I had asked my friends K and Ida what I should do for some nail art today because my inspiration has run dry. They threw a bunch of suggestions at me and rainbow was the one that stuck! This is the end result: melty neon rainbows! I am so pleased with how these turned out, I only used 4 neon paints and just blended them together like crazy.

Polish used: Colors by Llarowe – Beat It, various neon acrylic paints(plus white paint for the base drips and black to outline the finished product)

The Dirty Heads nail art!

Hi guys!  Just wanted to do this post really quick, I’m getting ready to head out the door for The Dirty Heads show today. My little brother won a contest at his high school, so I’m his chaperone for a meet and greet and sound check, so excited! I looooooove The Dirty Heads.

Polishes used: Colors by Llarowe – Beat It, acrylic paints.

Colors by Llarowe: Behead the Drama Queen and Purple Rain

Hi guys! I’m baaaaack.  I definitely enjoyed my few days of break from nail art and stuff, but I also must say that I’ve missed it a bit! I’ve had quite a few people ask me for a tutorial on the Harry Potter castle nails, so I am going to try to get that done sometime this weekend. If there are any other nail art things that I’ve done that you guys would like a photo tutorial on, please let me know!

Anywho. Colors by Llarowe! I’ve used these two a bit in some of my 31 day challenge manis, so you’ve probably seen bits of them already.

31 Day Challenge: Day 21 – Inspired by a Color!

Wooooo Saturday! I love my days off, I plan on doing nothing except maybe swatching a few polishes, renting a movie, making dinner, and finishing my hair dye adventure(If you check out instagram, I dyed my hair neon green last night. it was fun). Anywho, here is my mani for today’s challenge!

I was inspired by the color of the ocean. I did a saran wrap mani, and I really really like how it turned out! Definitely reminds me of the rippling waters of the ocean when I stand out on the pier and look out across the water.

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo(base color), Light turquoise franken(same as used for tribal mani, dupe for Picture Polish – Honeydew), Elevation Polish – Pic de Subenuix, Colors by Llarowe – Behead the Drama Queen, and then the whole mani was topped with a layer of Zoya – Frida.
