Elevation Polish – Minneapolish Collection!

Hi you guys! Today I have the February Elevation Polish release to show you guys, the Minneapolish Collection! It has 5 polishes as well as a special LE Yeti polish that will only be available during the month of February.

The Walker is a bright purple with a strong holographic finish. I love this shade of purple! The photos below are 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Lake of the Isles is a bright blue ‘gelly’. It goes on streaky with the first coat, but the second one evened it out for me, and it dries with a high shine like gel polishes do. This color is another favorite, it’s perfect for spring! The photos below are 2 coats, no top coat.

Mill City Ruins is a new type of finish for an Elevation Polish. It’s a thermal polish! When warm, it is a light-ish khaki kind of green, and when it gets cold, it turns a darker olive color. It also has a gorgeous gold flake shimmer that works perfectly with both the warm and cold color of the polish. The photos below are 3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.  I dipped my middle two fingers in ice water for the photo to show the thermal effect.

St. Anthony Falls is a white crelly packed full with a mixture of iridescent and gunmetal silver glitter. This one reminds me of the old Elevation SBP/Special polish from way back when, Opal. Opal has been on my WANT THIS POLISH list for a looooooong time, so I was ridiculously happy to see a polish that is similar in this collection. The photos below are 3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Theo Wirth Parkway is a jewel toned green with lots of multicolored shimmer bits. I. Love. This. Color. It is probably going to become one of my regularly used polishes. The photos below are 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

The last polish I have to show you is the LE, Yeti Hides in the Mini Apple. It is a bright cherry red holo with a slight silver shimmer. This is the PERFECT red! It was the last polish I swatched of this collection because I knew I wouldn’t want to take it off, and I was right! The photos below are 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Elevation Polish – Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles

Today I have swatches of the Elevation Polish that will be in the February A Box, Indied! The theme for the box is “A Box, Candied” and will include polishes from these brands as well: Crows Toes, Hare Polish, Serum No. 5, and Black Cat Lacquer.

Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles is a deep chocolate brown with a pink flake shimmer as well as a bit of a holographic shimmer. I really really love shades of brown that are dark like this, they are my faves in the brown family. The formula on this was great as well, you could probably get away with just 1 coat if you applied it a bit thick, but I did 2 regular/thin coats + 1 coat of Seche Vite for these swatches. The ONLY downside I can come up with in relation to this polish is that every damn time I see/hear/think about the name, I want chocolate truffles like crazy!

Sunset Through the Trees Nail Art!

What is this? Me, regularly posting again? I hope I can keep it up, hahaha. I’m off to a good start so far in the new year!

It has been quite a while since I’ve felt like doing some nail art, my mojo has just not been around as much, but it decided to come back with a vengeance late last night! As a result, I stayed up entirely too late to paint this, but I love how it turned out, sleep be damned.

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Walk a Little Farther, Elevation Polish – Pa’ako(those two were the blue to pale pink gradient for the sky), the rest of the stuff(clouds, sunset bright bit, trees, etc) was all done using acrylic paints.

Elevation Polish – A Journey Told Through Music Collection

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great end to 2014 and an even better start to 2015! Aside from a tiiiiiiiiiiny bit of a hangover, things are pretty good for me! Today I have swatches of the upcoming January collection from Elevation Polish, A Journey Told Through Music.

Up first is The Sea was Red.  For those of you that love Elevation Polish SBPs, you might recognize this one, as it is a slightly adjusted version of SBP Red Sea! It is a red to orange/gold duochrome with an intense linear holographic finish. For the photos below I used 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Next is Quarter Past Midnight, it’s a blue/purple/red/gold duochrome, though the red and gold don’t show up as often as the blue and purple do. I had to take a billion and one photos of this one to make sure I caught all the color shifts! The photos below are 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Definition: The Vivid Unknown is a deep navy creme with a hint of a teal lean. I love this color! It’s the perfect vampy blue while being slightly different than most navy polishes I own because of that slight teal-ness to it. For the photos below, I used 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Next is Storm in the Morning Light. It is a slate blue/grey creme, and I have to say, when I first saw the bottle(before I even looked at the name), my first thought was that it looks like the color of storm clouds in the sky. For the photos below, I used 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Walk a Little Farther is a light blue creme that is full of an intense blue microshimmer. It is similar to a retired Evp, Alphubel. The formula on this one was a tiny bit thicker than the rest of the polishes, so it might take a tad longer between coats to make sure it dries and you don’t get any dragging. For the photos below, I used 3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

For those of you that were wondering just how close it is to Alphubel, here are some comparison shots! The polishes are labelled, and as you can tell, Alphubel is just a teeny bit darker than Walk a Little Farther, but they both have that same gorgeous blue shimmer.

Just Like Night Time was probably my favorite of the collection. It’s a navy holo with a blue/teal/aqua shimmer. The shimmer really shows up in indirect light, and it was what made me fall in love with this polish! The photos below are 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

Yeti Hugs: Feel So Close is a LE polish for the month of January. It’s a white/super light grey creme base that is full of a flakie shimmer in blues, pinks, and purples. For the photos below, I used 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.
