Elevation Polish – Forest Collection!

I had planned on posting this a few days ago, but then my phone(which I use for my swatch photos) went and broke on me when I was midway through swatching this collection. I had to wait for my shiny new Galaxy S5 to get here(and sweet mercy, it is wonderful. I love it so much. RIP Galaxy S4, you will not be missed much thanks to this bad boy).  Anywho, I digress. The July collection for Elevation Polish is another stunner! I really like that these are not bright/neon summer shades, but more dark and earthy.

Up first is Hinglajgarh Forest. Do not ask me how to pronounce that one, because I will fail! It is a cool green holo, and it has a slight shimmer that is more apparent in the bottle than on the nail. I really like this one! The formula was great, the photo below is 2 coats + top coat.

Next is Avenue of the Baobabs. I can never say no to a good taupe, and this one is perfection! This one is taupe with blue microflakes and a pinkish/slightly multicolored shimmer throughout. The blue flakie bits are what make this polish for me, they add just that little something that makes me looooove it. Photo below is 2 coats + top coat.

Pointless Forest 2 is a dark teal green jelly with blue/green and gold/red iridescent glitter in various shapes/sizes. I don’t have Pointless Forest to compare the two, but I definitely like this one!  As a jelly, this took a few coats to get opaque, but I think it would also look really pretty if layered over a teal or hunter green or something. Photo below is 3 coats + top coat.

Up last is my personal favorite from the collection, Shilin Stone Forest. It is a cool grey with dark microflake bits,  shimmer, and a holo finish. The holo in this one was a bit difficult to capture, as the sun decided it had enough for the day and was kinda half hiding behind clouds, ready to bring on the daily Florida summer thunderstorms. Photo below is 2 coats + top coat.

Elevation Polish for the July 2014 A Box Indied!

Hi guys! Today I have a sneak peek of Elevation Polish – Atop a Ferris Wheel. This polish will exclusively be available in the July 2014 ‘A Box Indied’ from Llarowe. The theme for this box is “A Fair To Remember”, a celebration of state fairs! I haven’t been to a fair since I moved away from Kentucky, but growing up there and going to both the local county fair and then Kentucky State Fair was always a blast.

Atop a Ferris Wheel is a light periwinkle/steel blue-ish polish with a multicolored microflake and shimmer. The shimmer and flakie bits were being a pain in regard to showing up in my photos, that is why the last photo is a bit blurry, it showed the colors of the shimmer a bit better.

Up close bottle shot:

Photos below are 2 coats of Atop a Ferris Wheel + 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Emily de Molly – Frail Promise & Love Triangle!

Hi guys! I just some quick swatches of a few Emily de Molly polishes today! I had someone in Australia sneaky mail these to me as I don’t think Love Triangle has made it to any of the US/international stockists yet. My latest glitter obsession is definitely triangle glitter. I can tell already that I am going to end up buying waaaay too many triangle glitter polishes if they all keep looking as awesome as the ones I have so far do!

Up first is Love Triangle. This polish has white triangles and hexes with blue, neon pink and orange to green iridescent glitter. I. Am. In. Love. IN LOVE. I love the color scheme of this glitter and guhhhhhh, the triangles! I die. Not to mention both this one and Frail Promise are black light reactive(and y’all should know by now just how obsessed I am with that, hahaha). Photos below are one coat of Love Triangle over American Apparel – Mount Royal, plus Seche Vite

Next is Frail Promise. This polish is a grey leaning nude with neon pink, black, white, gold and mint glitter with a gold shimmer. I looove this one as well, the colors work so well together! My mom said that it reminded her of MTV in the 80s when she saw my nails, hahaha. Photos below are three coats + Seche Vite.

Emily de Molly’s BigCartel site only ships within Aus, so make sure to check out the Stockists page to see where you can get it if you live outside of Australia! You can also follow Emily de Molly on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with the latest news and restock information.

Sunset at Sea nail art!

Hi guys! Today I’ve got a nail art thing I did with one of the new Elevation Polishes from the upcoming June collection(my post with swatches of all those can be found here). When I first saw the colors in this collection and heard the collection name, I knew I wanted to try out a few different sea/nautical themed nail art ideas. Hopefully I will have another one to show you guys later this week!

For this mani, I painted my nails with Elevation Polish – Mount Augustus, and then painted the bottom half of my nails with Ceram Sea from the new collection. The rest of the detail(sun, waves, clouds, etc) was done with acrylic paints.
