Birdy nail art!

Hi guys! Sorry I haven’t posted all week. I’ve gone a bit crazy with Thanksgiving prep. The amount of pies/cakes/cookies that I’ve baked in the past week is a bit ridiculous, hahaha. But since I got the last of my pies finished last night, that meant that I got to spend this morning relaxing and doing some nail art(I know, before 3AM and it actually worked, what is this madness!?) while my mom does her thing in the kitchen. Anywho, here’s the photo! I’m off to see if there is any food I can steal yet.  Happy Thanksgiving to all of you that are celebrating!

Doctor Who nail art for the 50th Anniversary!

Ok, I’m done. Maybe. Aaaaah I was struggling with this nail art! I originally did a whole Gallifrey scene with mountains and stuff, but the mountains drove me nuts so  I took them off in a fit of rage last night. I liked the Gallifrey city nail too much to get rid of though, so I decided to just do something different on each nail! We have Doctor in Circular Gallifreyan, the TARDIS, Gallifrey, and a Dalek.  I finished this just in time to be able to fix some lunch and get ready for Doctor Who!  I hope all of you whovians out there enjoy the episode as much as I am sure I will!

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – The Wit, Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo, Elevation Polish – Llullaillaco, Elevation Polish – Tettegouche, acrylic paints for the detail.

Distressed nails and more Doctor Who nail art!

After I saw Chalkboard Nails’ new tutorial on grunge/distressed nails, I knew I had to try it out. After I pulled that one off, I was determined to get another Doctor Who mani done, and I noticed that the distressed look would be a great background for some graffiti-style art.

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Arabian Sea(base), Takko Lacquer – Bright Young Things, Elevation Polish – Pic du Gar, China Glaze – Pool Party, E.L.F. – Sea Escape, plus acrylic paints for the bad wolf graffiti, and a matte top coat on top of the graffiti.

Elevation Polish – Darkest Storm, Black Ice, and Volcanic Dust!

Sorry I’ve not posted another Doctor Who mani! I think I might have set my bar too high too early with that Van Gogh Exploding Tardis, hahaha. My inspiration has just left me, but I am determined to get a few more done before Saturday.  Anywho. Today I have a few new Elevation Polish colors! They were released on the 7th of this month, and will be restocked again on the 22nd(more info on that at the end of the post).

Blue Galaxy Nails

Hi guys! Bit of a late post again, I went on a bit of a baking spree today and forgot to put this together before I started. On the other hand, if anybody is in need of a few dozen cookies, hit me up(or else I will eat them all and I do not want that to happen. Must pawn some off on the neighbors).  I’ve seen a few galaxy manicures around that used a royal blue as a base, but i’d never tried it myself until today. I love how it ended up! I used a billion polishes, some of them you might not be able to tell with as much as I blended them around, but they really were used, hahaha!

(technically this isn’t directly Doctor Who related, but galaxy nails are close enough? right?)

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo(base), Zoya – Song, a teal franken, Color Club – Pucci-licious, Elevation Polish – Higravstinden, Innisfree – 96, a random white nail art striper, and an Elevation Polish custom – Ice Storm.

Exploding TARDIS!

I really do apologize for any of you readers out there that aren’t whovians, I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled crazy instead of Doctor Who maniac crazy after next weekend! The exploding TARDIS painting by Van Gogh in Doctor Who has always been one of the things I’ve wanted to tackle as a nail art project, I’m just glad it was a success!

Polishes used: Rainbow Honey – Sapphire Weapon, acrylic paint

I actually took progress photos of this one for once, so I figured I would share the progress/step by step photo as well!

(even more) Doctor Who nail art!

So originally the post this morning was supposed to go out late last night, but in my sleepy brain I hit save draft instead of publish. I almost kept this one for tomorrow but I love it too much to wait(and I’ve already posted it on my instagram and tumblr, hahaha.)

Elevation Polish – Red Gradient + some more Doctor Who nail art!

Hi everyone! I recently got some new Elevation Polishes during her November 7th restock, and I just had to use one of them in this gradient. Volcanic Dust is such a pretty, vampy brick red. I love love love it! It was the perfect in-between color for this black to red gradient. I also ended up adding some more Doctor Who nail art to this one after I finished it(woo eight days until the 50th Anniversary Special!), but I never got around to taking a proper photo of it in the daylight because I dinged it right after taking the below photo and ended up having to remove the mani. Siiiiigh. I hate when that happens!

Polishes used: Elevation Polish – River Rock, Elevation Polish – Volcanic Dust, Elevation Polish – Uluru, acrylic paints for the evil snowman/snowflake.

Night Sky gradient/nail art

Hi guys! I hope you’re all having a good weekend!  Just some quick nail art for y’all today, this one was loosely inspired by Will Paint Nails For Food’s grunged up gradient/dream catcher tutorial. I went with a different scene/color scheme, but I mostly followed the tutorial for the black lines/smudges on the nail.

Polishes used: Joe Fresh – Denim, Elevation Polish – Pic de Sotllo, American Apparel – Office, and Elevation Polish – Tavan Bogd for the gradient. Trees/moon/stars/black bits are acrylic paint. After all of that was done I topped it with a layer of Seche Vite and then Butter London’s Matte Finish.
